Description
We build these copper pot stills from 200 L to 1000 L. A 500 L system is the workhorse for many craft distilleries: enough for 3–5 stripping or spirit runs per week without tying up a full production floor. A 200–300 L unit fits a taproom, pilot plant, or someone testing recipes before scaling. Step up to 1000 L only when you have steam, cooling water, and tank space to match it.
Heating is the first decision. Electric is simpler for rural sites or small batches; steam gives faster heat-up and gentler control once you pass 500 L. We’ve built both. If your boiler can’t handle the load, electric may still be the right call, but check your service.

Copper contact matters most in the vapor path: pot, swan neck, lyne arm, and condenser. We keep copper where flavor and sulfur stripping matter, and use stainless in non-critical zones. A gin basket, agitator, and condenser style are optional. For gin, vapor-path baskets are common. For grain-in washes, an agitator saves cleanup time. Shell-and-tube, coil, and dimple condensers perform differently depending on your cooling water.
Before quoting, send batch size, ABV target, wash type, available steam or kW, ceiling height, door width, and cooling water temp. We’ll recommend 200 L, 500 L, or 1000 L and confirm shipping splits.
