Description
Sizing comes before shopping
Inquiries for 10,000 L, 12,000 L and 20,000 L vessels arrive from two very different places: a winery adding capacity before harvest, and a beverage plant that needs chilled storage between filtration and bottling. The volume matters less than the fill rhythm. One 20,000 L tank filled weekly behaves nothing like three 10,000 L tanks filled on the same afternoon.
We build these as vertical cylinders with either a sloped flat bottom and a 2–3% drain, or a 60° cone where lees and solids need to drop away cleanly. Storage duty usually calls for the sloped bottom; fermentation and any must contact points toward the cone.
Material, welding and finish
SUS304 handles most wine, cider and kombucha work. High-acid must, salty process water or aggressive CIP chemistry justifies 316L. Interior welds are ground flush and passivated, product contact surfaces finished to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm. Dimple jackets on the shell and cone give roughly 1.5–2.5 m² of cooling area per 1,000 L, sized against your required pull-down rate rather than a catalog number.
Top fittings normally include a 400 mm manway, CIP spray ball, 0.2 µm hydrophobic vent, sample valve, racking arm and a pressure/vacuum relief valve. Fermentation tanks commonly run 0.2–0.3 MPa design pressure, but the relief valve rating has to match the working pressure. An undersized valve on a 20,000 L tank at peak CO₂ will lift in the middle of the night.

What buyers ask us
Can one tank ferment and store? Yes, if the cone and jacket area suit fermentation and you accept cleaning between roles. Dedicated storage tanks are cheaper per liter.
What glycol temperature? Most wineries run −4 to −6 °C supply. Colder glycol with a small jacket area just wastes compressor hours.
How does CIP tie in? We position the spray ball so the cone and sidewall both get coverage at 2–3 bar, with the drain sized for return flow to your pump.
Small craft producers usually start with two or three mid-size tanks and a shared glycol loop. Commercial plants specify per-vessel control so one tank can cold-settle while another ferments.
Tell us your batch size, wine or beverage type, number of tanks and available floor space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your facility.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
