Description
1000L Jacketed Fermentation Tank for Brewery Production
A 1000L fermentation tank usually sits in the middle of a small commercial brewery or pilot plant. It is large enough to support regular packaging runs, but still manageable when you need to move hoses, add dry hops, or pull yeast. The cooling jacket is not an add-on. It is what lets you hold lager at 50°F, crash an ale, or slow a fast fermentation before it produces too much heat and off-flavors.
We build these tanks with SUS304 as standard, and SUS316L when the wort or cleaning regime is more aggressive. The shell and cone are welded from 3mm to 4mm plate depending on pressure and diameter. Interior welds are ground, pickled and passivated, then polished to a sanitary finish. Exterior can be brushed or mirror polished. Every jacket is pressure-tested before insulation and cladding. Manways, sample valves, racking arms, dry hop ports, carbonation stones, and CIP spray balls are positioned to match how your brewers actually work, not just a generic drawing.
Where a 1000L Tank Fits
- Craft breweries with 7–15 bbl brewhouse capacity
- Pilot systems moving from test batches to limited release
- Brewpubs that package a few kegs per week
- Contract brewing projects with repeat recipes
Conical bottoms help with yeast harvesting and trub removal. Flat-bottom tanks can work for some top-fermenting styles, but if you plan to drop yeast, carbonate in-tank, or clean with CIP, a cone and jacket usually pay back faster. Working pressure, safety valve set point, and jacket pressure must be specified together. Do not assume a tank rated for 1 bar is suitable for 2 bar carbonation.

FAQ
Can I use one tank for different beers? Yes, if CIP and sanitation are set up properly. Dedicate hoses and valves where possible.
Why does jacket area matter? Too little cooling surface makes crash cooling slow. Too much can cause uneven temperature near the wall.
What do you need for a quote? Batch size, beer type, target fermentation temperature, glycol supply temperature, available height, and connection preferences.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
