Description
What a 500 L turnkey line actually covers
A 500 L brewhouse suits a brewery moving past pilot batches — usually three to five brews a week paired with four to eight fermentation vessels. The skid typically carries mash/lauter tun, kettle or combined mash-kettle, whirlpool, plate chiller, and hot and cold liquor tanks sized to your water budget. Little of this is fixed beyond the frame; vessel count, heating method and footprint follow the building you already have, not the other way around.
Fabrication details worth checking
Our default is 304 stainless; 316L makes sense where chloride exposure or aggressive CIP chemistry justifies the extra cost. Shells on 500 L vessels run 3 mm with dished heads and full-penetration welds on product-contact seams. Interior welds are ground flush, pickled and passivated, polished to 0.4–0.6 µm Ra, exterior brushed. Cones sit at 60° for clean yeast cropping, and each jacket gets its own coolant circuit so crashing one tank does not pull down the rest.
Where it fits
Taproom breweries, contract packers running small runs, and brewpubs adding packaged volume all use this size. Distilleries and kombucha producers order the same skid with different agitators and jacket coverage.

FAQ
How many fermenters do I need? Divide weekly packaged volume by 500 L, then add one tank for turnover slack.
Can one pump handle CIP and transfer? Yes, with a dedicated CIP loop and a plate or shell-and-tube heat exchanger on the return.
Why 60° cones? Yeast slides off during cropping and tank emptying; shallower cones leave residue that shows up in the next batch.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
