Description
Seven barrels is roughly where a brewpub stops treating fermentation as a corner of the brewhouse and starts treating it as its own process. This 7 BBL unitank holds about 217 US gallons of wort with headspace left for krausen, and it works as a single pressurized vessel — primary fermentation, dry hopping, and carbonation all happen inside it, no transfer to a separate brite tank.
Shell and cone are SUS304, 3 mm plate, dished top with a 60-degree conical bottom. The cone angle is not cosmetic: shallow cones hold yeast in a wide, hard-to-dump pancake, and hop debris cakes against the wall. We TIG weld with argon backing gas, pickle and passivate the weld zones, then mechanically polish the wetted surface to about Ra 0.8 µm. That roughness cleans well under CIP circulation — a mirror finish costs more and scratches sooner in daily use.
Cooling comes from a dimpled glycol jacket on the cone plus two on the shell. Crashing 7 BBL from 68°F to 34°F in a day requires real surface area and cold glycol, typically 28–30°F supply. We size the jacket zones so you can hold a steady 1–2°F differential without freezing the cone wall. Working pressure is 1.5 bar (22 psi), hydro-tested at 2.5 bar, with an adjustable pressure relief valve. Set it low for open-ish ale fermentation, higher when you carbonate in the tank.
CIP runs through a rotating spray ball in the top manway, draining at the cone bottom. Racking arm, dry hop port, sample valve, and PRV all sit on 1.5\” or 2\” tri-clamp fittings so standard brewery hardware fits.

FAQ
Can I carbonate in this tank? Yes. With the PRV reset around 1 bar and a carb stone on the racking port, you reach 2.4–2.6 volumes without a brite tank.
304 or 316L? 304 handles beer, CIP caustic, and acid sanitizers fine. Choose 316L if you run high-chloride water, sours with extended acid contact, or fruit additions.
How many tanks do I need? Match tank count to your brew frequency and turnaround. Two to three tanks per weekly brew keeps most brewpubs from running dry.
Can the ports be changed? Yes. Manway size, port placement, leg height, and jacket zoning are all built to your drawing.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
