Description
We build stainless steel beer fermentation tanks for breweries that need reliable temperature control, sanitary operation, and a production line that can grow in stages. The tank is the core vessel in a small beer plant, but it only performs when jacket area, fittings, and pressure rating match your batch size and cooling supply.
Our tanks use SUS304 for standard beer service and SUS316L where chloride exposure or aggressive cleaning is expected. We TIG weld internal seams, polish wetted surfaces, and passivate after fabrication. Jackets are dimpled or coil type depending on tank geometry. Insulation and cladding reduce condensation in cold rooms. Sanitary tri-clamp fittings support racking, CIP return, sample valve, pressure relief, and dry-hop access.
Temperature control matters because fermentation heat changes yeast performance and flavor. An undersized jacket can make crash cooling slow, especially in warm climates. We size cooling area from batch volume, wort gravity, and required pull-down time. Working pressure typically 2–3 bar; the relief valve, gauge, and PRV must be matched to the vessel rating.
Typical configuration
| Parameter | Range |
|---|---|
| Tank volume | 100–5,000 L; custom up to project scope |
| Material | SUS304 / 316L |
| Bottom | Dished or 60° cone |
| Cooling | Dimple jacket / coil; glycol |
| Pressure | 2–3 bar working; safety valve set by rating |
| Cleanability | CIP spray ball, tri-clamp connections |
Conical bottoms help yeast collection and trub removal. Flat-bottom tanks suit some top-fermenting or serving setups but make yeast harvesting less convenient. Small brewpubs usually prioritize flexible batch sizes and simple CIP; commercial plants need matched tank trains, glycol headers, and expansion space.
FAQ
What information is needed for a quotation? Batch size, beer style, number of tanks, room dimensions, glycol temperature, and pressure requirements.
Can the tank connect to existing CIP and glycol? Yes, we match port sizes, clamp standards, and jacket connections to your plant.
Why stainless grade matters? 316L costs more, yet it can be practical where cleaning chemicals and water chemistry demand extra corrosion resistance.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
