Where the 500L size lands
We\’ve shipped 500L copper stills to whiskey makers in Kentucky, brandy houses in California, and contract distilleries running rum and gin on the same vessel. It sits between a pilot 200L and a full 1000L column. You get a real day\’s worth of stripping and spirit runs without watching the still at 3 a.m., and the whole thing still clears a 2.4 m ceiling in a leased building.

Steam versus electric comes down to utilities, not price. Electric is simple to install and fine for 500L and under, but 36 kW draws real amperage. Once you\’re on a boiler, steam gives gentler heat and faster turnarounds between runs.
Copper matters most in the vapor path and the pot itself. Our column, lyne arm and condenser are copper; the shell and jacket are 304 stainless. That keeps the sulfide stripping you want without paying copper prices for surfaces that never touch vapor.
Options we build regularly: gin basket in the column, agitator for grain-in washes, extra plates, CIP spray ball, and a shell-and-tube or worm condenser. Tell us your wash type and target proof and we\’ll spec the plates.
Before we quote
Send us: ceiling height and door width, power available (voltage, phase, amps) or boiler capacity, wash type and ABV, target proof and daily volume, and whether the floor is rated for a loaded pot. Photos of the space help more than a floor plan. We\’ll come back with a layout drawing, shipping dimensions, and a lead time.
