We build this 500L alcohol distiller for distilleries that need one vessel to run whiskey, gin, and brandy without giving up copper character. The boiler, swan neck, and lyne arm are copper; the condenser can be copper or stainless depending on your water and cleaning routine. We use 3–4 mm copper plate on high-wear areas and TIG-weld stainless frames.
Capacity choice usually comes down to batch rhythm, not bragging rights. A 200L or 300L still fits a taproom or small craft distillery doing 2–4 mashes per week. The 500L is a common step up for a regional producer running gin and whiskey on alternating days. At 1000L, you are usually looking at steam heating, a separate CIP loop, and a dedicated still operator.
Heating: electric is simpler to install where you have 380–480V power and no boiler. Steam gives faster heat-up, gentler gradients, and better control for grain-in whiskey. If you plan to scale later, buy steam-ready even if you start electric.
Options we ask about before quoting: gin basket size and placement, agitator type, condenser style, CIP, proofing parrot, sight glasses, column plates. Send your wash ABV, target proof, batch size, ceiling height, floor load, water supply, drain, and voltage/steam pressure. Those details change the quote more than the brand name on the panel.
