Description
What this 500L kit actually covers
We build this set for breweries moving from pilot batches into repeatable 500L production. The kit pairs a hot liquor tank, mash/lauter tun, kettle, whirlpool and unitank fermenters with the piping, pump and plate chiller needed to run a full brew day. Most customers arrive here after outgrowing 100–200L equipment and discovering that inconsistent fermentation temperature, not the brewhouse, is what ruins their beer.
Tank construction
Fermenters are built from 304 stainless as standard; 316L is offered when the product is heavily hopped, acidic, or when washdown chemicals are aggressive. Interior welds are ground, pickled and passivated, with a 0.6–0.8 µm polish on product-contact surfaces. Exterior is brushed 2B unless you want a mirror finish. Cooling is a dimpled jacket on the cone and lower cylinder, rated for glycol at 2–3 bar. Working pressure sits at 1.5 bar, tested at 3 bar, with a spring-loaded relief valve and a separate vacuum breaker — the vacuum breaker matters more than people expect when you crash-cool with a closed CIP arm.

Practical notes
Cone angle and jacket coverage drive cooling speed more than tank volume does. If you plan double batches per day, ask for extra jacket area rather than a bigger chiller later. CIP works through a rotating spray ball with 1.5–2 bar supply; verify flow before trusting it, since a starved spray ball leaves krausen rings on the cone.
FAQ
Why conical bottoms? Yeast and trub drop into the cone and leave through the bottom port, so you harvest clean yeast and drop sediment without racking.
Do small and commercial breweries need different setups? Small shops often run one unitank through fermentation and conditioning; larger plants split fermentation and bright beer tanks for throughput.
What should I prepare before a quote? Batch size, beer style, expected batches per week, ceiling height, glycol supply temperature and available floor footprint.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
