Description
What a bright tank is doing in your process
A bright tank finishes the beer. Fermentation drops the gravity; the brite tank is where you crash cool, carbonate, and hold the beer clear long enough to package it without haze or foam problems. We build these at 1000L, 2000L, 3000L and 5000L working volumes, with jacket area and fittings sized to how you carbonate — forced, stone, or slow natural build-up.
Two problems push most brewers to buy one. Carbonation takes three days instead of one, or the beer never quite clears. Both usually come back to cooling surface and jacket coverage, not tank volume.
Fabrication details that matter later
Shell is SUS304 at 3mm as standard. We switch to 316L for the full shell or just the wetted parts when the tank will see seltzer, cider, or heavy acid cleaning. Interior welds are fully penetrated, ground, pickled and passivated, then mechanically polished to 0.4–0.6 micron. Exterior is brushed 180 grit. A mirror interior is available for beverage lines where flavor carryover is a real risk.
Dish top with a 60° or 70° cone bottom. Steeper cones suit lager strains that drop hard; a 60° cone is easier to fabricate and fine for most ales. The cone and lower sidewall carry a dimple glycol jacket rated for 28–32°F glycol. Working pressure is 2 bar, hydro test 3 bar, with an adjustable relief valve on the top. Set the relief valve and leave it alone — it is a safety device, not a carbonation control.
CIP runs through a 1.5in spray ball on the top manway, with a rotating racking arm, sample valve, and optional carb stone and dry-hop ports. Glycol connections are 1.5in tri-clamp in and out.

Questions we get before an order
How do I pick a size? Match the bright tank to roughly one fermentation batch, or to your largest packaging run, whichever is bigger. A tank that holds two batches means two transfers and more oxygen pickup.
Do I need a cone? Yes if you are dropping yeast or hopping in the tank. A flat-bottom bright tank works for filtered beer in a dedicated packaging room, but it limits you later.
Small brewpub or commercial plant? Brewpubs under 2000L usually take a single jacket zone and manual glycol control. Production breweries typically want dual-zone jackets, larger manways, and CIP tied into a central skid.
Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
