Description

These 2500 L, 3500 L and 5000 L tanks are custom fermenters for craft breweries and beverage plants that need repeatable fermentation, not a showpiece. We build single-wall or jacketed vessels with cone or dish bottoms depending on whether you ferment ale, lager or a high-solids process. Capacity should follow batch size, not floor space. A 2500 L tank suits pilot or small production at 20–25 hl batches. A 5000 L unit cuts tank count but needs ceiling height, cellar access and chiller capacity.

Material choice matters more than a data sheet suggests. We use SUS304 for most beer duty where chloride exposure is controlled. SUS316L is specified for aggressive CIP, coastal plants or higher salt/chloride risk. Product-contact welds are ground and passivated; internal polish is typically Ra ≤0.8 µm, with pickling on request. Dimple or channel jackets are pressure-tested before insulation. Glycol ports, racking arm, dry-hop port, CIP spray ball and relief valve are placed around operator access, not a generic drawing.

Jacketed temperature control is why a fermenter costs more than a simple tank. Fermentation generates heat; without glycol control, lager fermentation drifts and diacetyl reduction becomes unreliable. Working pressure and safety valve setting must match the vessel design, not just the regulator. We confirm relief valve, pressure gauge and CIP return as a system. CIP coverage depends on spray-ball pattern and drain slope, so pump flow and return path are reviewed before fabrication.

FAQ

Which capacity? Start with batch volume and fermentation days. Two 2500 L tanks often give more scheduling flexibility than one 5000 L tank. Cone or dish bottom? Cones help yeast cropping and trub removal; dish bottoms suit some ales and bright tanks. 304 or 316L? 304 covers most brewery duty; 316L suits chloride risk or aggressive cleaning. Can ports be customized? Yes, send a P&ID or tank sketch with glycol and CIP routes.

Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
