Conical Beer Fermenter 100L-1800L for Microbrewery Fermentation
Conical Beer Fermenter 100L-1800L for Microbrewery Fermentation Price range: $3,421.83 through $8,335.20

Description

Most 2000L unitank inquiries reach us after a brewery has outgrown a set of 500L vessels and needs one tank that can carry a full 12–14 day fermentation without daily attention. The size also lines up with a typical 2–4 hl brew length, so one brewhouse turn fills a tank with enough headspace left for krausen and dry hopping.

Materials and fabrication

We build the shell from SUS304 as standard. Breweries running high-adjunct wort, kettle sours, or cider with a low pH often specify 316L for the cone and lower jacket, where contact time and chloride exposure are longest. Plate thickness runs 3 mm on the body and 4 mm on the cone; thinner stock saves money on paper and dents in the cellar.

Welds are full-penetration TIG, ground flush on the product side, then pickled and passivated. Interior finish is 0.4–0.8 Ra mechanically polished. The exterior can stay at a 2B mill finish or be mirror-polished when the tank is visible in a taproom.

Cooling comes from dimple jackets — one on the cone, two on the body — sized so a 2000L batch crashes from 18°C to 2°C overnight with 30% glycol at -4°C. Undersized jackets are the most common reason a tank cannot keep up during summer.

Pressure and cleaning

Design pressure is 3 bar, working pressure 2 bar, with an adjustable relief valve set to the tank rating. Do not push past that setting to carbonate faster. CIP runs through a rotating spray ball on a dedicated port: 3–4% caustic at 60–70°C, then acid, then sanitizer. A racking arm, sample valve, dry hop port, and 60° cone round out the fittings.

Common questions

Small craft brewery or commercial plant — what changes? A 2000L tank on a small system usually runs single-zone cooling and manual valves. Commercial cellars add dual-zone jackets, glycol solenoids, and pressure-rated fittings for automated carbonation.

Do I need a conical bottom? Yes for ale, lager, and any beer where you crop yeast and drop trub. Flat-bottom tanks suit bright beer storage, not primary fermentation.

How do I connect glycol, CIP, and product lines? Standard tri-clamp ports: 1.5in for glycol in/out, 2in for CIP return, and a 1.5in racking outlet. Confirm your glycol header size before the tank lands.

Before requesting a quote, note your batch size, beer style, tank count, ceiling height, doorway width, and available glycol temperature. Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
