Description
We build this 2000L conical fermenter for breweries that need reliable batch-to-batch consistency without overcomplicating the process. With a working volume of 2000 liters and a total capacity around 2400 liters, it fits a 20–25 BBL production rhythm when you step up from pilot batches to full-scale packaging. The cone angle can be customized based on your yeast strain and trub behavior; 60° works well for most ales, while 70° or steeper gives you cleaner dumping for lagers or heavily dry-hopped beers.
The tank is constructed from SS304, with 3mm inner shell and 2mm outer shell, TIG welded and fully passivated. Interior welds are ground flush and polished to 0.4μm Ra for sanitary contact surfaces—CIP spray balls reach the cone and side walls without manual scrubbing. We can also supply SS316L for coastal environments or aggressive cleaning chemicals, but for standard brewery use SS304 handles the job.
Cooling is handled through a dimpled jacket on the cone and lower cylinder, designed for glycol at 28–32°F. The jacket surface area is sized for crash cooling from 68°F to 39°F within 24 hours, depending on ambient conditions. Pressure rating is 15 psi working / 30 psi design on the inner tank, with an adjustable pressure relief valve and a separate CIP line. The isobaric rated top manway with 360° swivel arm lets you dry hop or add finings without breaking pressure.

Q: What batch size is this tank best suited for?
A: Around 2000L of finished beer per batch. If you brew 2500L post-boil and lose 500L to trub and yeast, this tank works well.
Q: Why use a conical tank instead of a flat-bottom?
A: Cone geometry concentrates yeast and trub for easier dumping, reduces beer loss, and improves carbonation consistency when you fine or filter.
Q: What glycol temperature do I need?
A: Supply glycol at 28–32°F. We size the jacket for a 30°F temperature drop in 24 hours under normal cellar conditions.
Q: Can I customize the cone angle and port layout?
A: Yes. We adjust cone angle, port positions, and jacket coverage based on your beer styles and cellar piping.
Before we quote, we need your batch size, beer types, number of tanks, available ceiling height, and glycol capacity. Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review
We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
