Description

Equipment Overview for Real Production Needs

Our 1500L (15HL / 15BBL) beer brewery equipment is built for craft breweries that have outgrown pilot systems. The brewhouse handles a full 15-barrel batch from mash to whirlpool. Vessels are sized to match your fermentation capacity—typically four to six 1500L unitanks per brewhouse batch.

Materials and Fabrication

All product-contact surfaces use SUS304 or, for heavily hopped or acidic wort, SUS316L. Tank bodies are 3mm thick with dished heads. Internal welds are purged, ground flush, and passivated. External welds are wire-brushed. We polish interior surfaces to under 0.6μm Ra—rough enough to hold a passive layer, smooth enough for effective CIP. Sanitary tri-clamp fittings, EPDM or silicone gaskets, and 60° cone bottoms are standard on fermenters. DIN or SMS connections are optional.

Cooling and Temperature Control

Single-zone or dual-zone dimple jackets wrap the cone and lower cylinder. Glycol at 28–30°F enters through a 1.5-inch inlet. A pressure relief valve on the jacket prevents over-pressurization during CIP or stuck-valve events. Unitanks are rated to 15 psi working pressure and tested to 30 psi. Brite tanks receive a higher polish and a dedicated carbonation stone port.

Practical Applications

These systems suit ale and lager production in taprooms, regional microbreweries, and contract facilities. If your water chemistry changes seasonally, dual-zone jackets give you tighter control during crash cooling. Small brewpubs often choose direct-fired brewhouses; larger producers prefer steam. We configure both.

Common Questions

Why control fermentation temperature? Yeast produces off-flavors outside its ideal range. Glycol jackets remove exothermic heat, especially during high-gravity fermentation.

Conical or flat bottom? Conicals let you drop yeast and dry hop without racking. Flat bottoms are for brite tanks only.

How does CIP work? A spray ball inside the tank connects to your CIP cart. Run caustic, rinse, then sanitizer through the same path.

What information do we need to quote? Batch size, beer style, number of fermenters, available ceiling height, and whether you have glycol and steam on site.

Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
