Description

Built Around a 10,000 L Batch, Not Around a Catalog

A 10000L turnkey brewery is seldom bought as one machine. It gets bought because fermentation capacity, not brewhouse throughput, has become the bottleneck. We package the brewhouse, pump and motor set, and fermentation tanks together so wort transfer lines, glycol loops and CIP routing follow the actual vessel geometry instead of being improvised in the cellar after delivery.

Materials and Fabrication

SUS304 is our standard shell. Customers running sour programs, high-chloride water, or aggressive caustic and acid cycles usually move to 316L. Inner shell runs 3 mm, with a dimple cooling jacket on both cone and cylinder, 80–100 mm polyurethane insulation under a 2 mm clad exterior. Welds are TIG, ground and passivated; product contact surfaces finish at Ra ≤ 0.6 µm. Seals are EPDM or silicone, and fittings can be DIN, ISO or Tri-Clamp depending on what your cellar already uses.

Temperature Control and Pressure

Fermentation temperature shapes the beer, so jacket coverage matters more than nameplate volume. Cone jackets do the crash cooling; cylinder jackets hold steady ale or lager fermentation. Working pressure sits around 0.2–0.3 MPa with a set safety valve and gauge. Two rules we repeat during commissioning: never run with the safety valve isolated, and never close the CIP return while pressure is building.

Cleaning and Connections

Spray ball, racking arm, sample valve, dry-hop port and blow-off arm are placed so one cleaning cycle reaches the cone apex. Glycol, wort and CIP headers need separate valving — cross-connection is the most common installation error we see on site.

FAQ

Is 10,000 L right for a small craft brewery? It suits a brewery packaging roughly 30–60 hl per week with 4–8 vessels in rotation. Below that, tank turnover and glycol load rarely justify the size.

Why a conical bottom? Yeast and trub drop into the cone for clean harvesting. Flat-bottom tanks work for bright beer storage, not primary fermentation.

Can we add tanks later? Yes, provided the glycol chiller and header sizing were calculated with expansion in mind at the start.

Before quoting, we ask for batch size, beer styles, tank count, available floor space and ceiling height, plus your existing glycol capacity. Tell us your batch size, beer type, number of fermentation tanks and available space. We can recommend the tank volume, cooling area and configuration for your brewery.

Customer Review

We have been using this still for a few batches now making whiskey, gin and a few other spirits and we are very happy with the results so far. The gear works well and gives good control during distillation. The spirit comes out clean and consistent from batch to batch and we have gotten the flavor profile we were looking for. It has also been easy to operate and maintain. It has been a great addition to our distillery and I’d definitely recommend it to other craft distillers looking for reliable equipment.”
